Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! I’ve been having a nice few days visiting family and playing games, and chatting on my group chat of best uni friends (some of whom I’ll get to see again in just five days!)

Christmas is an opportunity for fun and immaturity in my house, so I went to bed just after midnight (the earliest I’ve been to bed in months) because Santa needed time to arrive and I needed to be awake early to unwrap presents, and Skype my twin in China.

I got some very nice things this year: four new plushies, a cat-shaped teapot, LEGO, Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu (which has naturally been occupying my time most of the day), and an afternoon tea voucher at a sushi restaurant of all places among other things! That’s an exciting one and one which I’ll need to think very hard about who I’ll take with me, as it’s for two people!

I’ve been messaging lots of people today, my phone hasn’t really stopped going off (naturally messaging people before 9am means they’re all replying to you, I do pride myself on sending the first Christmas messages of the day), some people I haven’t spoken to in a while but it’s a nice time to at least let people know you still think about then.

But the first thing we do as a family every year is sing happy birthday to Jesus as we put the baby Jesus in our crib which is set up in the living room. It’s important not to forget why we’re celebrating Christmas in the first place, and what joy and hope Jesus offers us, both in this life and the next.

Merry Christmas again to everyone reading. Whether you’re spending the day with family, friends, or alone, and wherever you happen to be, I hope you have a happy and blessed Christmas šŸ™‚
